Martin Truex Jr. Is Worth Rostering In All Formats For The Charlotte Roval
1 month agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Martin Truex Jr. can make a sizable impact for DFS lineups this week ahead of his final road course start as a full-time driver at the Charlotte Roval's Bank of America ROVAL 400. Truex qualified 30th for this week's race, his worst starting position at the Charlotte Roval compared to six previous races and will be the first time he will start outside of the Top 20 at the site. With five top-20 finishes including two top-10 finishes, this week's race trends upward for Truex based on his track history. Through 31 races in his final full-time season in the Cup Series, Truex has 19 top-20 finishes, including 10 inside the Top 10. At road and street courses this year, Truex has two top-20 finishes, with a 10th-place run at COTA being his best. In first practice, Truex ranked 19th in five consecutive lap averages and eighth in overall lap averages, while in final practice, Truex ranked 10th in five consecutive lap averages and 13th in overall lap averages. With incredibly high upside and top-notch equipment from JGR, Truex is an easy recommendation for all DFS formats despite his personal discomfort while racing at the track.
