Martin Truex Jr. Expects Better Result Sunday in Upstate New York
3 years agoMartin Truex Jr. has to feel better after the Olympic Break. Not only does the Joe Gibbs Racing driver have two top-ten finishes in his last two road races, but he also races exceedingly well at Watkins Glen. Truex Jr. has finished second both times to Chase Elliott. The No. 19 even nearly got the best of the No. 9 in both situations as well but came up short in the end. Truex Jr. has been near the front most of the way in these races and starts in ninth on Sunday. Watkins Glen could be a nice springboard for the driver in August since there is another road course coming up at Indianapolis. Truex Jr. could very well win on Sunday.
