Martin Truex Jr. Couldn't Keep Up Pace, Finishes Third At Homestead
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. found himself in contention to win at Homestead. He even led 37 laps during the race as Truex Jr. finished third after Stage 1 and fourth after Stage 2. With several laps to go, he was in a position to win the race but could not keep pace with William Byron or even Tyler Reddick. Truex Jr. was hoping the drivers that passed him would come back but they just kept drawing further away. In the end, he finished third and will try to get his first win of the season next week in Las Vegas.
