Martin Truex Jr. Always A Threat At Richmond
3 months agoMartin Truex Jr. qualified second for this weekend's Cook Out 400 race at Richmond Raceway, and it's hard to imagine a scenario where the No. 19 Toyota isn't a contender on Sunday night as long as Truex is able to stay out of trouble. In the spring race here earlier this year, Truex led a race-high 228 laps, and he's led 100 or more laps in eight of his last 15 starts at the track. Truex has collected three victories at Richmond, and a fourth-place finish on Sunday night would cement his place in the 2024 playoff field. He is a contender to win this weekend and also could end up being a dominator, something that has become somewhat expected out of Truex at Richmond now.
