4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Martin Perez had a disappointing outing against the Tampa Bay Rays Friday, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk in four innings. He struck out three batters and allowed three home runs. He was saddled with the loss, dropping his record on the year to 7-7. Perez has just one quality start in his last ten outings, and has given up at least one home run in four straight. With a 4.56 ERA and 1.49 WHIP on the season, he isn't performing well enough to warrant a roster spot in most formats.--Doug Goldring
