Martin Perez Delivers One More Quality Start Monday
2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez took the loss but turned in a final quality start in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees. Perez pitched 6 innings, allowing one run on five hits and five walks with two strikeouts. The 31-year-old had a career season, going 12-8 with a 2.89 ERA over 32 starts with over 6 IP/start. He ended up being a high-floor fantasy asset this season, although fantasy managers should be skeptical heading into 2023, as his career ERA is a much more pedestrian 4.45.
