Martin Jones Looks For Fifth Straight Win On Tuesday
4 years agoSan Jose Sharks goaltender Martin Jones will be gunning for a fifth consecutive victory in Tuesday's home outing against the Ducks. The 31-year-old has beaten both the Kings and the Wild in two games, posting one shutout during his winning streak and allowing only seven goals in total. Jones has taken his record to 14-7-2, and he boasts a 3.03 goals-against average for the year with a .905 save percentage. The Ducks are getting only 2.21 goals a night this season, so this looks like a superb spot for Jones to keep on winning. He'll have a tweaked defensive corps playing in front of him on Tuesday, with Marc-Edouard Vlasic (upper body) set to miss his first game of the season. According to head coach Bob Boughner, the veteran blueliner might be out for the whole week.
