MarShawn Lloyd Dealing With Appendicitis, Won't Play In Week 11
21 seconds agoGreen Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (ankle, hamstring) is dealing with appendicitis and will not be active for the team's Week 11 divisional contest against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. "It is a shame, certainly. This all happened this morning. He felt some pain his abdomen this morning. Not sure if he's had surgery," head coach Matt LaFleur said. Lloyd was designated to return from Injured Reserve at the start of the week and had a shot to make his return to the field this weekend, but that won't happen now. The 23-year-old has been very injury-prone since joining the Packers and has played in just one game in his first season in the NFL. He suffered a high-ankle sprain earlier this year and will now miss an eighth straight game. Lloyd has explosive rushing ability as a backup to Josh Jacobs and is worth a stash in deeper leagues, but it's now unclear if he'll be able to return in Week 12 against the 49ers.
