Marquise Goodwin Chooses To Opt Out Of The 2020 Season
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Marquise Goodwin has elected to opt out of the 2020 NFL season. Goodwin is the father of a five-month-old daughter and wants to focus on his family without taking the risk of playing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Goodwin was penciled in as a situational deep threat for the Eagles, a team that desperately needs to add that dimension to their offense. Goodwin's absence will put more pressure on veteran DeSean Jackson and rookie Jalen Reagor. Alshon Jeffery may ultimately end up with the increased role coach Doug Pederson mentioned earlier in the offseason.
