Marquise Brown Still A Work In Progress
5 years agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown (foot) took part in the joint practice against the Eagles on Monday, his first time playing against another team. The first-rounder missed the preseason game last Thursday against the Packers but has taken part in four straight practices. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman thinks Brown still needs to gain chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson. "He just needs to get accustomed to it. It’s all new for him — the speed of it, the thinking, the lining up, running the right route. He has a ways to go with all of that," head coach John Harbaugh said. It can often be tough for rookie wideouts to make an impact immediately, and it's going to be tougher for Brown as he returns from a Lisfranc injury. Brown is very talented and fast, but temper your expectations for him out of the gates. Take him as a late-round flier in deeper leagues on this run-first squad.
