Marquez Valdes-Scantling Set To Continue Run
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has quickly risen up the depth chart to become the No. 2 wide receiver in Green Bay. While Randall Cobb may nominally have that role, Valdes-Scantling has seen more snaps and targets over the past two weeks than Cobb. Valdes-Scantling provides a speed element that is sorely lacking in Green Bay and has proven to be reliable. He delivered in some big moments last week, racking up over 100 yards against the New England Patriots. Valdes-Scantling is going up against a vulnerable Miami defense that ranks 23rd in pass defense DVOA according to Football Outsiders. With a favorable matchup and a growing role, Valdes-Scantling should be considered a high-end flex/low-end WR 2 for Week 10.
