Marlon Mack Motivated to Take the "Top Dog" Role in Colts Backfield
7 years agoWith the departure of veteran running back Frank Gore in the offseason, Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack seems motivated to take the "top dog" role in the team's running back rotation. While Mack currently has little competition from fellow backfield mates Matt Jones, Christine Michael, Robert Turbin, Josh Ferguson and George Winn, it is more likely than not that Indianapolis will add a running back from the deep 2018 NFL draft class. As a boom-or-bust fantasy running back who dealt with nagging injuries last season, it is difficult to expect workhorse numbers from Mack for the upcoming year.
