1 year agoThe Miami Marlins placed left-handed reliever Andrew Nardi (triceps) on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with left-triceps inflammation and recalled pitcher George Soriano from the minors in a corresponding move. Nardi has been a pretty big asset for the Marlins' bullpen so far this year, as he's gone 6-1 with a 3.19 ERA (4.14 FIP), 1.12 WHIP, his first two career saves, 11 walks and 48 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings pitched over 41 relief appearances in just his second big-league season. The 24-year-old southpaw will be out at least a couple weeks, but the injury comes at a good time with the All-Star break coming next week.
