Marlins "Pushing Hard" For Ramon Laureano
2 years agoMLB analyst Peter Gammons reports that the Miami Marlins are "pushing hard" for Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano. The 27-year-old would not only bring speed and fielding prowess to the team, but he would help boost the team's offense against left-handers. The Marlins rank dead last in the majors with a .591 OPS against lefties this year. Laureano, meanwhile, has a career .284/.353/.465 slash line against southpaws. Laureano was suspended to begin the year so he's only appeared in 34 games so far this season. Over those 34 games, he's slashed .242/.326/.358 with two home runs, five stolen bases, eight RBI and 15 runs.
