Marlins Interested In Trading For Triston Casas
2 years agoThe Miami Marlins have discussed a potential trade with the Boston Red Sox involving first baseman Triston Casas, per the Miami Herald's Craig Mish and Barry Jackson. Per Mish and Jackson, the Marlins are willing to move one starting pitcher this offseason in order to bolster their lineup. However, the Red Sox have so far rejected all offers. Casas is one of baseball's top prospects and boasts elite power potential. The 22-year-old slashed .273/.382/.481 with 11 home runs and 38 RBI in 317 plate appearances in 2022 with Triple-A Worcester and .197/.358/.408 with five HR and 12 RBI in 95 plate appearances with the Red Sox. The Marlins may need to include several hitters to complete a deal, and the Athletic's Chad Jennings has reported that the Red Sox have interest in second/third baseman Joey Wendle.
