Mark Vientos Homers And Doubles In Win
4 months agoNew York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run in Friday's 7-6 win over the Rockies. The 24-year-old also collected two RBI, scored once, and drew a walk in the contest. The home run was his 12th of the year and it was his fifth multi-hit game of July, going 14-for-42 (.333) through 11 games this month. The former second-round draft pick has been productive during his time in the majors this season, slashing .299/.353/.569 with a .393 wOBA and 161 wRC+ in 49 games (190 PA). He's surprisingly still only rostered in 62% of Yahoo leagues and, for interested managers, he brings both 1B and 3B eligibility, offering some flexibility in how he is deployed.
