5 years agoWinnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele scored a power-play goal and added an assist as his eventually fell 3-2 in overtime to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. With the pair of points, Scheifele extended his multi-point streak to three consecutive games (three goals, five assists) and he's now registered at least one point in 13 of his past 15 contests. Finishing the 2019 calendar year as one of the hottest scorers in the NHL, the 26-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down in 2020 with four points in two games. Carrying a stat line of 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists), 16 power-play points, 106 shots on goal, Scheifele has evolved into an absolute must-start fantasy option. He'll take the ice again on the road versus the Canadiens on Monday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller

1 month agoWinnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele found the back of the net twice during their victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday evening. Scheifele tallied his first goal in the opening frame on a tip-in. Later in the third, Scheifele would score on the power-play, which would eventually serve as the game-winner. Scheifele also added a blocked shot in this game, with three total shots on goal. This performance extended his point streak to three games. Over his past 12 games, the 31-year-old has found the back of the net eight times and added five helpers. Overall, Scheifele has enjoyed a fantastic season, tallying 31 goals with 28 assists across just 53 games. He is on pace to set a new career-high in points and goals and remains a must-start player in all fantasy formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

3 months agoWinnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele added three points to his tally as the team eased past Boston 8-1 on Tuesday. He potted two goals, one on the power play, and tallied one assist. Scheifele's form has been one of the keys to Winnipeg's success this season, and he's been terrific on home ice, scoring at least one point in all 13 outings so far. This marks the longest home point streak by a player in franchise history. If he can keep up his current scoring rate, Scheifele will post his first career 90-point campaign. He's on 16 goals and 34 points through 30 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

4 months agoWinnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele potted his ninth career hat trick in Tuesday's 6-3 victory over Florida. Scheifele tallied two even-strength goals and one power-play goal. This was Scheifele's third multi-goal outing of the campaign. He's been in great form since Game 1, producing 12 goals and 24 points in 19 appearances. Nine of the points have come with the man advantage as Winnipeg's power play has been red-hot, currently working at a 35.7 percent clip. Next up, the team faces a challenging time, as Friday's trip to Pittsburgh starts a six-game road trip for the Jets. All three games in which Scheifele hasn't found the score sheet this season have been on away ice.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

5 months agoWinnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele potted two goals to hit 300 markers for his career in Friday's 2-1 overtime victory against Chicago. The Jets were heading towards a shock defeat in front of their fans before Scheifele managed to extend the game with his first tally with 1:04 remaining in regulation, and he ended the contest with 38 seconds played in overtime. Scheifele became the second player from the 2011 draft class to score 300 career goals, joining Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov (323). The Jets forward also had a goal and two points in Wednesday's season-opening 6-0 win over Edmonton, so fantasy managers must be very pleased with Scheifele's start to the year. Scheifele faces Minnesota next, looking to post his longest goal streak since scoring in the first three games last season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
