7 years agoSan Francisco Giants closer Mark Melancon (elbow) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a flexor strain in his right elbow. Melancon said earlier this spring he is not 100 percent. The closer has been a bust thus far for the Giants with both on-the-field struggles and injuries. Relievers Tony Watson and Sam Dyson are expected to get the bulk of save opportunities, but Hunter Strickland could also enter the mix. Dyson is probably your best speculative add, but the leash will be short, and manager Bruce Bochy could mix and match. It's a situation to avoid if you can help it.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
