7 years agoSan Francisco Giants closer Mark Melancon (forearm) hasn’t made any progress since starting the season on the disabled list. Melancon has yet to even throw a ball and there is no timetable for his return. Melancon had pronator muscle surgery towards the end of last year and has not fully recovered. He also is dealing with inflammation in his right flexor tendon. Melancon spoke this spring about not feeling 100 percent healthy and it sounds like he won’t be returning in the near future.
