Mark Leiter Throwing Bullpen Session
7 years agoAfter suffering a mild flexor strain midway through March, Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Mark Leiter (forearm) has been out. On Wednesday, however, the 27-year-old will toss his second bullpen session since he resumed throwing last week. Leiter spent his rookie season last year splitting time between reliever and starting pitcher, enjoying some brief success in each role. Looking ahead to this year, it appears that there’s no space in the starting rotation for Leiter, meaning he would be returning to the bullpen once he’s healthy enough for a return.
