Mark Leiter Jr. Looking Sharp In July
6 years agoAfter being brought back to the majors from Triple-A Lehigh Valley at the end of June, Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Mark Leiter Jr. is pitching significantly better. The 27-year-old has made four appearances this month, tossing 4 1/3 scoreless innings. He’s allowed just two hits and a walk, striking out three batters. While his position on the major league roster never seems to be safe, this current form will continue to buy him time with the Phillies. Leiter Jr. has seen success as both a starter and reliever in the past.
