Mark Ingram May Have Avoided Serious Injury
5 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram (calf) left the game early in the Week 16 win over the Browns, but the initial feeling is that he avoided structural damage. Head coach John Harbaugh said that Ingram, who was in a protective boot after the game, will undergo an MRI exam on Monday. The hope is that the running back was just cramping. Ingram had 55 rushing yards on the day before his injury, pushing him past the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season. It's the third time in the last four years that he's hit that mark. With Baltimore locking up home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs, Ingram will surely be rested in Week 17 against the Steelers. That means it'll be a combination of Gus Edwards and Justice Hill in the backfield.
