Mark Ingram II Heading Back To The Saints
3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints acquired running back Mark Ingram II from the Houston Texans on Wednesday, according to sources. Ingram started his career with the Saints and will now rejoin them as a complement to star running back Alvin Kamara. The 31-year-old had been in an ugly committee alongside David Johnson and Phillip Lindsay on one of the worst teams in football, but now he'll head back to a contender in New Orleans. Ingram won't have much more fantasy upside with the move, but at least he's in a familiar offense, and he could steal some goal-line touches from Kamara and quarterback Jameis Winston. In 92 carries for Houston through seven weeks, Ingram had 294 rushing yards (3.2 yards per carry) and one touchdown, also adding seven catches on nine targets for 24 yards. Johnson and Lindsay will have a little more fantasy value now, but they're still not all that appealing from a fantasy perspective.
