Mark Ingram II A Touchdown-Dependent Option In Week 3
3 years agoHouston Texans running back Mark Ingram II has been the clear leader of his team's backfield through two weeks of play. Ingram has had a limited passing-game role but has received at least 14 touches in each of the first two games, though his 3.2 yards per carry average leaves much to be desired. Considered a weak spot in their defense last year, Carolina has seemingly shored up their unit against the ground, as they've allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. While Ingram should once again lead the backfield in touches- his subpar production on the ground thus far suggests that he'll need to find the end zone to warrant a start in any fantasy format. He should be looked at as a low-end flex at best.
