Mark Ingram Gets First Touches As A Raven
5 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram carried the ball four times for 18 yards in Thursday night's preseason game against Green Bay. Ingram was given limited work on the field, but his 4.5 yards per carry showed that the veteran still has the power and agility to be a viable backfield option for Baltimore. According to Athlon Sports, Ravens new offensive coordinator Greg Roman ran the ball on 49.8 percent of plays as the coordinator for the Niners and Bills. After quarterback Lamar Jackson took over last season, the Ravens ran on 61.4 percent of plays. With Jackson vowing to run the ball less, if Baltimore continues to be the league's most run-heavy offense in 2019, it could be positive for Ingram's numbers as an RB2 option with a rising ceiling. Ingram's current ADP is in the mid-40s, and he is projected to run for over 900 yards and six touchdowns. Even if Jackson does to decide to sit in the pocket more, just the threat of him using his legs boosts Ingram's outlook.
