Mark Ingram a Risky Play in Divisional Round
Mark Ingram followed up his career-best regular season in 2017 with a complete dud in the playoffs. Ingram ran for 22 yards and failed to score against Carolina last week. He gets a far tougher test this weekend with a road game against the Minnesota Vikings on deck. Ingram logged just 17 yards on the ground earlier this year when these teams faced each other, although he did chip in 54 receiving yards. Ingram will also be running with a new left guard, as starter Andrus Peat (ankle, leg) was placed on Injured Reserve. Between the bad matchup, banged-up offensive line and timeshare he's in with Alvin Kamara, Ingram carries a slew of red flags into this weekend. There aren't many better options at the RB position, but proceed cautiously.

Mark Ingram II Wants To Play Another Season
Mark Ingram II has run for 1,086 yards and five touchdowns on 294 carries while catching 49 passes for 280 yards and no touchdowns in 35 games in the last three seasons, but he's eager to return in 2023 for his 13th NFL season. He had a career-low 62 carries and missed the New Orleans Saints' final nine games in 2022 with a knee injury. In an appearance on ESPN's "The Paul Finebaum Show" on Monday, Ingram said he had "more juice in the tank." During his NFL career, Ingram has run for 8,111 yards and 65 touchdowns on 1,817 carries. He's caught 303 passes for 2,125 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 33-year-old veteran remains on the free-agent market, and it remains to be seen if any team will pick him up before the 2023 season.

Mark Ingram II Placed On Injured Reserve
Mark Ingram II (knee) was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, officially ending his season. Ingram suffered a torn MCL in Week 13 and will now set his sights on preparing for 2023 with the Saints currently in last place in the NFC South. New Orleans claimed Eno Benjamin off of waivers on Wednesday, and he, David Johnson and Dwayne Washington could all see some opportunities behind Alvin Kamara over the next four weeks.

Mark Ingram II Likely Done For The Season
Mark Ingram II (knee) suffered a slight tear of his MCL in Monday night's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to sources. The injury will knock Ingram out indefinitely and will likely end his season. He will be out for four to six weeks, but he will not need surgery. With only five games left in the regular season, Ingram is most certainly done for the rest of 2022. The 32-year-old veteran actually outproduced Alvin Kamara in Week 13 with seven carries for 27 yards and a season-high five catches for 22 yards. He'll finish his 2022 campaign with 62 carries for 233 yards and a touchdown, adding 16 receptions for 68 yards in 10 games (three starts). Dwayne Washington will now become Kamara's direct backup in the Saints' backfield.

Mark Ingram II Inefficient In Loss
Mark Ingram II tallied double-digit touches in a split with running back Alvin Kamara in the 17-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ingram carried the ball seven times for 27 yards and caught all five targets for an additional 22 yards. He exited the game briefly with what could have been a re-aggravation of his MCL injury but later returned. Ingram will get extra rest heading into the bye week before two softer matchups with Atlanta and Cleveland to start the fantasy playoffs.
