Mark Andrews Shows Well In Start
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens rookie tight end Mark Andrews took full advantage of his start in place of injured teammate Hayden Hurst in Thursday's preseason matchup with the Redskins. Andrews reeled in all three of his targets for 61 yards, including a 45-yard catch-and-run play early in the first half. The Ravens selected Hurst in the first round and Andrews in the third round of this year's draft, indicating that they may opt for more two-tight end sets this season. With Hurst sidelined multiple weeks with a foot injury, Andrews will be given every opportunity to take over the starting role even when Hurst is back to full health. Andrews is worth a look as a late-round dart throw for owners who wait to draft a tight end on draft day in deeper leagues.
