Mario Bautista Set For New Opponent At UFC 292
2 years agoMario Bautista (12-2) will still compete at UFC 292 on the main card on Saturday after Cody Garbrandt fell off the card due to injury. His new opponent is Da'Mon Blackshear, who was victorious last week with a first-round twister. DraftKings sees Bautista as the big favorite with a salary of $9,100. He averages 80.3 fantasy points per contest through eight UFC bouts. Fantasy managers should heed caution. Blackshear is coming off of a monster performance, and both of Bautista's losses have come via the finish.

Mario Bautista Earns Big Victory At UFC 292
2 years agoMario Bautista has officially arrived at the top of the bantamweight party, earning his fifth straight victory on Saturday. At UFC 292, he was able to earn a unanimous-decision victory over a very tough opponent in Da'Mon Blackshear. Though he was out-struck in the significant strike-category (79 to 90) and landed less takedowns (two to four), Bautista was a bit more effective with the strikes that he did land. This is a perfect example of numbers not actually telling the whole story.
