3 years agoThe Seattle Mariners selected high school catcher Harry Ford with their first selection in the 2021 amateur draft. The 18-year-old hitter out of Georgia was ranked by Rotoballer as the 23rd-best talent available. He has good athleticism and above-average speed for a catcher. He also makes a lot of contact and should hit for a solid average. Because he's not a huge player, it remains to be seen how much power Ford will produce as a pro. The Mariners also have another good, young catcher in Cal Raleigh who just made his MLB debut on Sunday.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
