Mariners Acquire Cody Bolton From Pirates
1 year agoThe Seattle Mariners acquired right-hander Cody Bolton from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday for cash considerations. Bolton struggled in his first major-league season in 2023 with the Bucs, allowing 15 earned runs on 30 hits (three home runs) while walking 15 and striking out 22 in 21 1/3 innings pitched over 16 appearances out of the bullpen. The 25-year-old has been much more effective with a high strikeout rate in his time in the minors, though, so the Mariners will be hoping to get more out of him to improve his command at the major-league level moving forward. Bolton is completely off the fantasy radar heading into 2024.
