Marcus Stroman Throws To Hitters Thursday
1 year agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (hip, ribs) threw a live batting practice on Thursday, according to MLB.com. It's the first time he's thrown to hitters since landing on the injured list back in early August with a hip issue before he was setback by a rib cage fracture a couple of weeks later. Stroman was having a solid season on the mound before going down, posting a 3.85 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 20.7% strikeout rate with 10 wins across 23 starts. There's still no definitive timetable for the 32-year-old, but the hope is he can return before the end of the regular season.
