1 year agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (hip) threw a 50-pitch bullpen session on Friday with no issues, according to beat writer Maddie Lee. Stroman has been on the IL since early August while dealing with right hip inflammation. Barring any setbacks, the 32-year-old right-hander is expected to return to the Cubs' starting rotation next week. Stroman owns a 10-8 record, 3.85 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 111:50 K/BB ratio over 128 2/3 innings (23 starts) on the year.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
