Marcus Stroman Solid In Win Over Dodgers On Sunday
3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman posted another quality start on Sunday, going six strong innings in the Mets 7-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Stroman allowed just two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six. Stroman was able to finally get some run support from the Mets offense and improved his record to 9-12 on the season. It was another great performance from Stroman who has stepped into the Mets ace role with Jacob deGrom (elbow) sidelined. Stroman owns a 2.85 ERA (currently eighth-best in MLB) with a 1.11 WHIP, and 129 strikeouts in 145 1/3 innings pitched over 26 starts. Stroman should continue to help fantasy owners with excellent ratios, a decent number of strikeouts and quality starts through the remainder of the 2021 campaign. Fantasy managers should be sure to keep Stroman active for his next scheduled start at home on Saturday against the Nationals.
