Marcus Stroman Gives Up Five Runs In Rehab Start
2 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (shoulder) had a rough outing in his first rehab start at Triple-A Iowa on Sunday. He pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed seven hits, one walk and five earned runs while striking out two. The 31-year-old will likely need one or two more rehab outings before returning to the majors. He was first placed on the injured list in early June due to right shoulder inflammation. Prior to the injury, he had a 5.32 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP across nine starts.
