Marcus Stroman Expected To Make Next Start
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (hip) "expects to make his next start," according to manager Luis Rojas. Stroman, who left his last start early due to left hip soreness, could take the mound next on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies. The right-hander gave the Mets and fantasy managers a huge scare in his last outing, but it turned out to be nothing serious. When healthy, he's been excellent in his first full year in Queens, going 6-5 with a 2.32 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 75:21 K:BB in 15 starts covering 85 1/3 innings pitched. As long as the 30-year-old is past his hip injury, which it sounds like he is, he should be back in all fantasy lineups.
