Marcus Stroman Allows Solo Homer In Spring Action
5 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman allowed one run in two innings pitched against the Cardinals on Friday. In his second Grapefruit League outing of the season, Stroman walked one and struck out one. Although the lone run against Stroman came on a Paul Goldschmidt solo home run, he showed off a fastball that ranged between 90 and 93 mph, right around his average velocity of 92.5 mph in 2019. In 32 starts in 2019, Stroman compiled 159 strikeouts in 184 1/3 IP while posting a 3.22 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. While his 2019 metrics suggest some regression for 2020, at an ADP of 213, Stroman makes for a great value pick in all mixed leagues as a back-end fantasy starter.
