Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart got the start on Thursday night against the Milwaukee Bucks and did his best to rally his team. Despite the Celtics falling short, Smart was effective in the contest. He scored 24 points to go along with four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block. The 24 points tied a season-high that Smart set just four games ago. Jaylen Brown is out for the Celtics with a thumb injury and waiting for further evaluation. If it is bad news for Brown, that would equal good news for Smart and his fantasy managers. Watch Brown's injury status before Boston's game against Phoenix. If he sits again, Marcus Smart will be a great option in DFS.--Euan Leith

Washington Wizards guard Marcus Smart (illness) will be out of action against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday. Smart also sat out during Wednesday's contest due to a finger issue, but an illness will keep him off the floor for tonight's game. The 31-year-old veteran guard's absence won't impact fantasy much this evening as he is averaging 9.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 steals this season. His next chance to get back on the floor is Saturday versus Brooklyn.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

Washington Wizards guard Marcus Smart (illness) will rejoin the lineup on Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. The veteran was originally ruled out for the game due to an illness, but he has now unexpectedly been upgraded to available. Smart produced a couple of strong outings before landing on the shelf for two games because of his illness. However, he has been far from his best in Washington, averaging 10.9 points, 2.9 assists, and 1.0 steals since joining the team.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Washington Wizards guard Marcus Smart (illness) will not return to the lineup on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers. There was initially hope that he could be back after missing one game due to an illness, but the team has downgraded Smart's status from questionable to out. Fellow veterans Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) and Corey Kispert (thumb) are also sidelined for Monday's game, putting rookies Kyshawn George, Bub Carrington, and AJ Johnson in a position to eat up as many minutes as they can.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Washington Wizards guard Marcus Smart (illness) remains on the injury report for a non-COVID illness and is considered questionable for Monday's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers. The former Defensive Player of the Year was forced to miss the last game against the Denver Nuggets, but may only have to face a one-game absence. If he remains sidelined, however, Bub Carrington should see some added minutes off of the bench while AJ Johnson will likely get some added opportunities as well. Carrington has enjoyed the best month of his season with averages of 11.3 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game in March.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller
