Marcus Smart Hopes To Return After All-Star Break
4 years agoBoston Celtics guard Marcus Smart (calf) is planning to return after the All-Star break for the start of the second half of the season. Smart had been without a timeline for some time since suffering a calf strain on January 30- but head coach Brad Stevens said that the veteran guard participated in some light, on-court drills ahead of Sunday's game with the Pelicans. Smart has been missed by both the Celtics and his fantasy managers, as he was on pace for career-best marks in points, assists, and steals. So long as his rehab goes well, Smart should be able to return to action in mid-March. Rookie Payton Pritchard will likely continue to see extra minutes in his absence.
