3 years agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Marcus Semien has been struggling a bit at the plate in July. Over 14 games this month, he's batting just .208 with a .288 OBP. On the bright side, he has four home runs and a .472 slugging percentage over the month. Semien is in the midst of a fantastic first year in Toronto. Over 92 games, he has slashed .274/.343/.524 with 23 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 58 RBI and 70 runs. He's a career .256 hitter and he has a .243 xBA this year, so he was due for some negative regression in the batting average department. Fantasy managers should continue to expect strong power numbers from Semien going forward, even if the batting average fluctuates a bit.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
