Marcus Semien Hits 25th Homer
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Marcus Semien belted his 25th long ball of the season on Sunday, helping his club defeat the Royals 5-1. His two-run shot in the third inning came off Brad Keller to center field as he finished the game going 1-for-4. Since the top of the lineup was reshuffled last weekend resulting in Semien moving down from leadoff to the three spot, the 30-year-old has hit to a .314 BA with seven runs and eight RBI. He should be in line for more RBI chances moving forward as long as this lineup sticks as he looks to build on an impressive .275/.341/.530 slash line with 77 runs, 66 RBI, and 10 steals.
