Marcus Morris Scores Team-High 20 Points Saturday Night
5 years agoNew York Knicks power forward Marcus Morris finished as the team's leading scorer in Saturday's loss to San Antonio, shooting 7-for-14 from the field and a very nice 4-for-6 from downtown on his way to 20 points. He also snapped up seven rebounds and a steal. Morris is quietly having a career year in the Big Apple, averaging 18.9 points per game. The most he's managed so far in his career is 14.1 per night back in 2015-16. He's done particularly well this month, going for 20-plus points in eight of 11 games. The Knicks are back in action on Sunday against the Nets. Morris was 3-for-3 from behind the arc against Brooklyn in the first meeting of the season, but he managed only 11 points in 33 minutes.
