1 year agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 7-of-11 passes for 58 yards and added four carries for 29 yards during the team's preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The 29-year-old made a few clutch plays, extending the first drive on 3rd and 13, where he scrambled past the first down marker on a broken pass play. Aside from this, the veteran did nothing special and looked the part of a solid NFL backup. Most of the starters were resting for the Eagles Saturday night, but Mariota did the most with what he had and led Philadelphia into scoring range on both drives. We should see more of Mariota over the next couple of weeks, but his job is secure as the Eagles' clear backup to starting quarterback Jalen Hurts.--Ryan Larrison - RotoBaller
