Marcus Mariota Has Rough Outing In Second Preseason Game
1 year agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 9-of-17 passes for 86 yards, threw an interception, and took one carry for five yards during the team's 18-18 tie with the Cleveland Browns. The Eagles' offense struggled throughout most of the first half with the veteran under center, scoring just three of their 18 points. While Philadelphia gave Mariota $5 million this offseason, with the chance to earn $8 million, he has not been overly impressive through two preseason games. Tanner McKee had a much better night but was playing against the third-string defense. We will unlikely see Jalen Hurts step onto the field next week against Indianapolis, but even if he does, Mariota should see another two-quarters of play.
