Marcus Johnson Goes On IR, Done For The Season
3 years agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Marcus Johnson (hamstring) was placed on Injured Reserve for the second time this year on Tuesday, which will bring his 2021 season to an end. Johnson had stepped up recently with veteran Julio Jones (hamstring) on IR, but he'll now have to sit out for the rest of the year. The 27-year-old will finish his fifth NFL season with nine catches on 19 targets for 160 yards and no touchdowns in seven games (three starts). With Jones still on IR and No. 1 receiver A.J. Brown (chest) getting hurt in the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans, the Titans added veteran Golden Tate to their practice squad on Tuesday. If Brown is unable to play this Sunday against the New England Patriots, the Titans could be down to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers as their top two receivers.
