Marco Raya Posts Best Outing Of The Season
6 months agoMinnesota Twins starting pitching prospect Marco Raya posted his best outing of the season on Friday evening. He logged four innings for the second time but did not allow a run or hit. He surrendered just two free passes and struck out six. This was a big turnaround for the 21-year-old as he was riding a 7.11 ERA and 1.82 WHIP through his past four starts. This season, the right-hander holds a modest 4.21 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and a 13:32 BB:K ratio. This is his second extended look at Double-A, as he tossed 29 innings there last year. Raya is considered the number eight prospect in the Minnesota system on MLB Pipeline and is not projected to reach the majors until 2025. However, he could make a case to join the team during the stretch run but will have to continue to work through these struggles at Double-A first. Dynasty managers should monitor him when he joins Triple-A St. Paul in the coming months.
