Marco Estrada Has To Settle For No-Decision
6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Marco Estrada allowed just two hits with two walks over six scoreless frames while recording three strikeouts in a no-decision against the Los Angeles Angels on Friday. He threw 46 of his 77 pitches for strikes, and he induced several double plays. However, Joakim Soria imploded in the eighth inning for four runs while retiring a batter, snatching a victory from Estrada's pocket. He was tremendously better in this one after serving up two homers in five innings in Tokyo against the Seattle Mariners in his season debut on March 21. He remains a must-have in AL-only fantasy play and he isn't a bad option in mixed play, either. Next up is a date with Nathan Eovaldi and the Boston Red Sox next Friday.
