Marcell Ozuna Expected To Be Ready In January
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said that outfielder Marcell Ozuna (shoulder), who had shoulder surgery in late October, is expected to be fully cleared in January. Ozuna hit .280/.325/.433 with 23 home runs, 88 RBI, 69 runs and three steals in 148 games in his first season with the RedBirds, but more was expected from his fantasy owners after he hit .312 with a .924 OPS, 37 homers and 124 RBI in his last season with Miami. He's certainly capable of returning to 30 home runs next year if his shoulder is completely healthy and with Paul Goldschmidt making the lineup more potent, but Ozuna is a bit of a high-risk, high-reward second fantasy outfielder.
