The Vegas Golden Knights won their second game in as many nights with a 3-0 win over the Nashville Predators. Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 19 shots to earn the shutout victory. Nashville had five power plays but could not solve Fleury or Vegas’ improved defense under new head coach Peter DeBoer. Chandler Stephenson scored a goal and now has 14 points in 25 games with Vegas after recording just four points in 24 games with Washington before his trade. Reilly Smith found the back of the empty net for his sixth goal in 10 games. He nine points over that stretch and is third on the team with 42 points in 54 games. He’s four goals away from tying his career-high of 25 set in 2015-16. Shea Theodore added an assist and now has seven helpers in the past six games. Fourth-line center Nicolas Roy also scored. Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne had a strong game and stopped 36 of 38 shots.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller

Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 36 of the 37 shots he faced en route to defeating the San Jose Sharks on Saturday evening. The Wild were heavily outshot in this contest but the 40-year-old netminder was able to deliver a victory. William Eklund was able to beat Fleury on a backhand shot late in the second frame. Fleury has now won each of his previous three starts. He has posted a stellar .952% SV and a 1.50 GAA during this span. Across 14 games this season, Fleury holds a 9-3-1 record with a .910% SV and a 2.54 GAA. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Fleury to operate as the clear No.2 option behind Filip Gustavsson, but he does carry upside in favorable matchups in DFS and shallow formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury will guard the crease on Saturday against Philadelphia. The veteran makes only his eighth start of the campaign. Things have gone very well for Fleury so far, as he's coasted to a 5-1-1 record. Fleury has allowed 2.72 goals with a .905 save percentage. The Flyers are among 13 teams not to average at least three goals per game for the season, and it's a matchup that's brought Fleury a lot of success throughout the years. He has a 32-19-4 career record against Philadelphia, having beaten only the Rangers more times. We should see Filip Gustavsson back between the sticks when Minnesota closes out its back-to-back set against Vegas on Sunday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract extension with the Wild for the 2024-25 season. The 39-year-old contemplated retirement following the end of the team's regular season but decided to return for one more year. The 2024-25 season will be his final campaign in the NHL. "I've been asked a lot by fans, media, friends, what's next for me," Fleury said. "It's good that this is settled and I don't have to talk about it for another year. Next year will be last also. Excited to get this done." The veteran turned in a 2.98 goals-against average and an .895 save percentage across 39 games (35 starts) in the 2023-24 season while his 561 career wins sit second all-time.--Brenton Kemp

Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury isn't ruling out a return to the Wild next season but also said it was likely a return to the Wild or retirement. "Yeah, it's probably Minnesota or retirement. I wouldn't want to move and take my three kids out of their environment. They've moved enough already. I don't want to uproot them." Fleury is in the final season of a two-year deal but said if he returns, it will be on a one-year contract. It's been a difficult season for the Wild while Fleury has posted a 2.85 goals-against average and an .899 save percentage in 36 games. Fleury ranks second all-time with 560 career wins.--Brenton Kemp
