1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Manuel Margot is being viewed as a top trade candidate for the club this offseason. The veteran is set to earn $10 million this season with a 2025 mutual option, making him a trade candidate for the low-budget Rays, a club in need of pitching. With Tyler Glasnow set to earn $25 million in the 2024 season, he is also being viewed as a strong trade candidate while Jeffrey Springs and Drew Rasmussen won't pitch in the first half of the season, making the Rays a club in search of pitching this offseason. For his part, Margot hit .264 with four homers and nine stolen bases across 99 games in 2023. His bat has long been below league average and with his defense slipping the last two seasons, Margot could very well suit up for another club in 2024.--Brenton Kemp
