Manuel Margot Continues Slump with 0-for-4 Performance Saturday
7 years agoPadres outfielder Manuel Margot continued to see his batting average drop on Saturday, as he finished 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the Padres' 1-0 loss. Margot is now 4-for-33 to start 2018, with five strikeouts and one extra-base hit — a solo home run coming in Thursday's game against the Rockies. Owners were expecting a much better performance from Margot in 2018, as they anticipated him building off his 2017 campaign where he hit 13 HR and stole 17 bases. Owners in deeper leagues shouldn't panic yet, but in shallow mixed leagues owners may want to consider dropping him if there are better options on the waiver wire.
